• UK should include international aviation and shipping emissions in its net zero legislation, say NGOs

The UK government will soon decide whether or not to accept the recommendation of its independent climate advisors, the Climate Change Committee, to formally include emissions from international aviation and shipping in future carbon budgets.

A number of NGOs including T&E, AEF, Green Alliance, Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth and Possible have written to the UK prime minister to strongly encourage that this recommendation be accepted.
