Sofía joined T&E in February 2025 as a data analysis intern in the cars team and is now a research analyst focusing on cars and charging. She has worked on topics ranging from real-world emissions of plug-in hybrids and EU charging infrastructure to vehicle safety standards, while tracking the pace of carmaker and country-level electrification.
She studied biophysics in Berlin, where volunteering sparked her interest in climate issues, and wrote her thesis on ecological modelling at an environmental research institute. A native German and Spanish speaker, Sofía also speaks English and French. Outside of work, she likes playing the cello, doing improvisational theatre and philosophy.
