Franziska joined T&E in 2023 as a Raw Materials Policy Officer supporting the batteries & raw materials team. She works on mineral supply chains from the angle of resilience and sustainability. Franziska covers topics related to circularity and battery recycling, trade and partnerships as well as frameworks for more responsible supply chains.
Before joining rainy Brussels, Franziska worked in Canberra for the EU Delegation in Australia supporting the trade section during FTA negotiations. Prior to this, she completed a traineeship at Eurelectric and worked in public affairs and interinstitutional relations. She holds a double MA in International and European Governance from Sciences Po Lille and the University of Münster.
Outside of work, Franziska enjoys playing volleyball, doing yoga or pilates, and hosting long breakfasts or dinner parties with friends. As a native German speaker she is fluent in English and French and has started to learn Spanish.
