On 13 May 2008 at the European Parliament in Brussels, T&E together with BirdLife International, CEE Bankwatch and EEB launched a groundbreaking report on unifying EU transport and nature conservation policy.

T&E, kindly supported by the Catalan Transit Service and the Department of territorial policy and public works of the Government of Catalonia, will host a conference to discuss the feasibility of application of road charging for lorries in Catalonia and Spain. On 9 April 2008, the Slovenian Presidency of the EU in cooperation with T&E, the European Federation for Transport and Environment, hosted a major international conference on the future of road charging in Europe. The discussion focussed on economic, technical and political aspects of road charging for HGVs and experiences in Europe, in the context of the preparation of a new EU legislative framework on fair and efficient pricing.
On 17 October 2007 the Portuguese Presidency of the European Union, the German Federal Environment Agency (UBA), the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) and the European Federation for Transport and Environment (T&E) organised a seminar in Brussels to discuss air pollution and emissions of greenhouse gases from maritime transport.
This one-day event, organised by Transport and Environment (T&E) and co-sponsored by the governments of the United Kingdom and the Netherlands and Renault and Toyota, focussed on policies to speed up progress towards more fuel efficient cars in Europe.
The SIPTRAM workshop presented the work and results of the SIPTRAM project,
which started in November 2002 with the aim of encouraging local and regional authorities across Europe to improve the environmental and quality standards in urban public transport through the competitive tendering process.
