Vapour law agreed

May 18, 2009

Compromise appears to have been reached over the EU's current draft legislation on capturing vapour at petrol stations.

MEPs and the Czech presidency agreed that vapour had to be captured from all filling stations selling more than 3000 cubic metres of fuel a year, and the deal would come into effect in 2019. The legislation is likely to be approved before the European elections.
