NGOs call for an ambitious Euro 7 standard

T&E, along with a number of other NGOs, has written to the European Commission asking them to reaffirm their commitment to the Euro 7 process and calling on the Commission to develop an ambitious Euro 7 proposal including the following key aspects:

As a priority, alongside reductions of emissions limits to the lowest level based on the best technology today, as suggested by Commission consultants, Euro 7 must be aligned with Europe’s Green Deal and zero emissions agenda.
Testing, approval and certification of vehicles must ensure that emission limits apply under all possible driving conditions.
Vehicles must be required to meet the emission limits throughout the entire lifetime of the vehicle.
All pollutants which are harmful to human health and the environment must be regulated at the tailpipe.
