Pau is an active member of national eco-social NGO with more than 300 local groups, focusing her activity on the Commission of Transport and Pollution. She has a broad experience in civil society participation and advocacy for transport and environment-related topics, being involved in many national and international initiatives through alliances with other European NGOs, or international networks.
She has been combining academic research and lecturing at different universities, focusing her activity on environmental economics and policies, climate change strategies and sustainability, and her intense activity in field of tourism planning and management, soon focused her interests on transport. Her activity at university included supporting national authorities at international conventions.
Pau holds a PhD on Geodesy, Cartography and GIS, and is Forestry Engineer.
