Jorge Moreno Membrillera

Jorge joined T&E in 2025 as an analyst in the Shipping Team of the Asia Pacific Region. He holds a PhD from the Imperial College London where his research focused on the interactions of the decarbonisation pathways with the Sustainable Development Goals with a particular focus on the impacts on biodiversity of land-based mitigation impacts.

Before joining T&E, he worked at the Modelling unit in DG CLIMA at the European Commission. Previously, he has also worked as environmental advisor at the Foresight and Long-Term Strategy Office in the cabinet of the President of Spain and at the UN sustainability think tank SDSN doing research on the Sustainable Development Goals.

In addition to his native Spanish, Jorge speaks English, French, and German. Outside the office, he enjoys doing all kinds of team sports, spending time in nature and going to the cinema.
