Daniel leads T&E’s work on energy and climate, shaping policy to accelerate Europe’s transition to a clean, secure and electrified energy system. He has two decades of experience analysing how global and national energy systems will evolve to 2050, with a focus on energy security, demand reduction and critical raw materials.
Before joining T&E, Daniel was a senior research fellow at Chatham House, where he specialised in net zero strategies, negative emissions, climate risk and the trade of lithium-ion battery raw materials. He has also advised the UK government on post-Brexit energy policy and worked in the investment sector developing global renewable energy strategies.
When Daniel isn’t working, he can usually be found exploring the valleys around the Cotswolds with his wife and young daughter.
