Alex Springer
Technical Deputy Director, Shipping
Alex joined T&E's Shipping team in 2022 and now works as its Technical Deputy Director, overseeing the team's analytical work on climate policy, emissions and sustainable fuels. His previous research at T&E has been focussed on the FuelEU Maritime and IMO Net-Zero Framework regulations.
Before joining, he worked for a data & intelligence provider within the shipping industry, where he specialised in areas including environmental regulation and shipbuilding markets. Based in London, Alex holds a BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge. Outside of the office, he enjoys hiking, travelling, tennis and gardening.
