Jens is Deputy Director of T&E's Clean Cities team, where he oversees policy and research work and represents the network in the EU Expert Group on Urban Mobility.
He works part-time for Clean Cities and previously spent nearly eight years as transport policy advisor to MEP Michael Cramer, focusing on legislation related to decarbonisation, railways and EU investment policy. From 2014 to 2017, he also supported Cramer in his role as Chair of the European Parliament’s Transport Committee. Between 2018 and 2021, Jens was guest lecturer on transport policy & spatial planning at the Technical University of Dortmund.
Jens holds a bachelor’s degree in Franco-German Studies and a master’s degree in European Economic Studies. Passionate about languages, he speaks German, French, English, Dutch, Spanish and some basic Arabic.
