Max joined T&E in November 2020 as an intern on the Clean Vehicles team and stayed on as an analyst. They work on the electric vehicle market and on the EU CO2 standards for cars, with a focus on creating interactive data visualisations.

Max originally studied environmental sciences at the University of Tokyo, before obtaining a MSc in environmental economics and policy at Imperial College of London, writing a thesis on rural vulnerability to fuel tax increases. Max speaks English and French and is trying to learn German. When not working on clean vehicles, they are running, reading and visiting the opera.
