T&E brings together senior policymakers, industry leaders, and civil society to reflect on Europe's competitive transport transition.

Europe is in an existential global competition to achieve its climate goals, lead on clean future technologies, and to provide a beacon to the rest of the world.

T&E’s State of European Transport 2026 is set against a backdrop of a fundamental shift in the global order, and the twin challenges of the transition to a zero carbon future and maintaining European competitiveness. It will debate the EU’s simplification and deregulation agenda in a global race against time to address the climate crisis, and its ability to compete against two other leading transport regions, the United States and China.
