Enabling Europe to scale clean shipping fuels now through double-sided auctions

Join T&E, the H2Global Foundation and Hydrogen Europe on the 4th of June for the launch of a position paper calling for EU Member States to commit funding to a double-auction tender for the early production and offtake of clean shipping fuels within an e-SMF Early Movers Coalition.

Clean fuels are not scaling yet due to high costs, uncertain demand and fragmented supply chains. This is why the e-SMF Early Mover Initiative calls for the set-up of double-sided auctions to bridge the price gap, de-risk early projects and create viable business cases for both producers and off-takers.

We will introduce a cross-value chain position paper with recommendations on how to accelerate the market creation for clean shipping fuels in Europe.
