The aim is to improve transparency and accountability, and help governments to reform the way they treat fossil fuels in a world where climate change is becoming more of a factor. The inventory covers 24 countries, accounting for around 95% of OECD’s energy supply, of which around 54% is petrol. The OECD hopes to keep the inventory updated.
