The EU transport commissioner Antonio Tajani says he wants to revive an EU initiative on urban mobility before the Commission's term of office ends in June.
Tajani wants to push through a delayed EU plan for greening urban transport, such as providing economic incentives for transport powered by alternative fuels and clean technologies. EU action on urban mobility has traditionally been of little impact, as most decisions are taken by authorities at local level.
