UN shipping chief told to lead sector to finally take climate action

In this letter, six environmental groups - the Clean Shipping Coalition (which includes T&E), EcoDes, EDF, Clima e Sociedade (iCS), Pacific Environment and WWF - congratulate Kitack Lim on his election to a second term as the secretary-general of the International Maritime Organisation.

They call on him to put all his efforts in 2020 into adopting effective global regulation to finally start tackling the shipping sector’s climate impact.
