NGOs call on EU Commission to choose climate over free trade

Coalition of NGOs has written to the EU’s executive body, calling on it not to bow to WTO and Mercosur pressure

A group of NGOs including Birdlife, Oxfam, WWF and T&E, is calling on the European Commission to choose climate, nature and people over free trade, as the EU’s executive body seeks to reverse the European Parliament’s decision to immediately end the use of palm and soy biofuels.
