French cut road expansion
France has unveiled a new transport infrastructure plan that has a substantially reduced funding or road expansion.
[mailchimp_signup][/mailchimp_signup]In effect, 900 kilometres of planned motorways have been deleted from the plan, and bigger consideration is being given to the impact on biodiversity and carbon dioxide emissions. T&E’s French member FNE said the infrastructure plan was not perfect, but much better than it might have been and indicates a significant change in emphasis for France.
