Phasing out sales of new cars with engines – a UK approach
This paper responds to the UK government consultation on the policies and regulations needed to phase out sales of new cars and vans with engines by 2035 or earlier.
It illustrates the target is feasible, and an earlier date is possible, but will require a very strong suite of policies to deliver such a rapid market transformation.
