Jorge Moreno Membrillera

Jorge joined T&E in 2025 as an analyst in the Shipping Team of the Asia Pacific Region. He holds a PhD from the Imperial College London and the Basque Centre for Climate Change and his research focuses on the interactions of the decarbonisation pathways with the Sustainable Development Goals with a particular focus on the impacts on biodiversity of land-based mitigation impacts. 

Before joining T&E, he was a Policy Officer at the Modelling, Economic Analysis, and Foresight unit of DG Clima in the European Commission. He has also worked as climate and environmental advisor at the National Office of Foresight and Long-Term Strategy in the cabinet of the President of Spain and as analyst at the UN think tank SDSN tracking countries' progress towards the SDGs.

In addition to his native Spanish, Jorge speaks English, French, German and Italian. Outside the office, he enjoys doing all kinds of sport, spending time in nature and going to the cinema.
