Michael joined T&E in February 2025 as a battery and raw materials researcher. He is currently researching green aluminium, recycled nickel and battery chemistry LCAs. Prior to T&E, Michael worked in corporate sustainability and interned as a rewilding economist, working on a cost-benefit analysis of Lynx reintroduction to the parts of the UK.
Michael studied economics at Trinity College Dublin before completing a master's in environmental and natural resource economics at the University of Copenhagen where he completed a thesis on the economic benefits of Cougars and Wolves.
Outside of work, Michael has started French classes, Muay Thai and using Skedda. Michael is a big fan of The Simpsons, Twin Peaks, Nicolas Cage movies, being in the mountains, non fiction books and peanut butter.
