Jekaterina joined T&E in October 2020 having worked for four years at the Federation of German Industries (BDI) in Berlin. At the BDI, she was in charge of strategic positioning of the German industry on hydrogen and hydrogen related technologies. Her other topics involved power market design, energy research and international energy policy. Before joining the BDI Jekaterina worked as an associate research fellow at Jacques Delors Centre in Berlin where she published several publications on energy policy in the EU. In the past she also worked at the German Parliament and the energy utility E.ON.
Jekaterina holds a master’s degree in public policy from the Hertie School in Berlin. A native Russian speaker, she also speaks German, English and Latvian and has a good understanding of Spanish. Jekaterina is a certified yoga teacher and is passionate about Eastern philosophies and mindfulness practices.
