Darren joined T&E’s Board in 2019. He is chief executive of Campaign for Better Transport, a lead charity in the UK aiming to bring sustainable transport to all. He previously worked for Which?, a consumer watchdog, where he led its campaigns on regulated and retail markets, including establishing its work on rail and aviation markets. He was responsible for a so-called 'super-complaint' on behalf of consumers regarding compensation in rail markets and the application of the UK Consumer Rights Act to travel markets. Prior to this he worked for WWF UK, Greenpeace, and National Energy Action on sustainable energy.
Darren is a fellow of Britain's Royal Society of Arts and sits on the editorial board of two transport publications. He is also an expert judge for the Ashden Awards for sustainable energy solutions and the CIHT Awards for the highways and transportation industry.
