NECU’s members include scientists, journalists, artists, students and other contributors to environmental protection. It has branches in a dozen of Ukrainian cities.

European Union against Aircraft Nuisances(Belgium) An umbrella organisation representing residents whose lives are plagued by aircraft noise, the UECNA was founded in 1968 by a Frenchman, a Swiss and a German who each suffered from noise from planes. It describes itself as the sole umbrella organisation representing sufferers from aircraft noise and emissions in Europe, and it has 21 member organisations from nine countries, as well as regional groups and individual residents. It says the impact of aviation noise and emissions on human health is now clear, so the battle is now to tackle the causes.
