Isabell joined T&E in 2017 to promote sustainable transport solutions in Spain. Based in Madrid, her daily work aims to influence decision-making in Spain, in collaboration with T&E's Spanish members and the Brussels office. She has a strong academic background in both EU law and policies having completed a PhD and post-doctoral studies at Aix-Marseille University and University of Basel. Isabell gained hands-on experience while working at the European Court of Justice’s research and documentation unit and by contributing to studies and reports for EU institutions. In Spain, she was a consultant for the Spanish association of energy auditors and certifiers.
Isabell speaks English, French and Spanish besides her native German. She loves getting to know people from around the globe, enjoys nature, the arts, and spending time with family and friends. She has a strong personal interest in human rights and climate governance, and is preparing a book about the legal protection of human well-being.
