T&E has said the Commission is risking large sums of money being spent on transport projects that have not been properly thought through.
Swiss citizens yesterday overwhelmingly voted for sustainable transport by rejecting in a referendum an initiative that would have expanded the road transport system in Switzerland’s environmentally sensitive alpine area. Analysis of the results shows that not a single Swiss Canton was in favour of the initiative. Available in htm or pdf.
