Arie has been involved in sustainable mobility for more than 30 years. He is co-founder of T&E and works as independent consultant on the crossroads of economy and sustainability. He held management positions at the Dutch research institute TNO, at environmental consultancy CE Delft and as head of strategy at the Dutch Transport Ministry. He is author of the book ‘New mobility – beyond the car era’ and many other publications.

Nuria works as transport coordinator at Ecologistas en Acción in Spain. Her primary campaign is against dirty cars, but she also works on transport policy, taxes and, more recently, aviation. Before joining Ecologistas en Acción, Nuria lead several projects on sustainable mobility both in Spain and the UK. Organization: Ecologistas en Acción

Jeppe joined T&E's board in 2016 and was elected T&E President in January 2018. He is senior policy officer on transport at the Ecological Council in Denmark. He works mostly on EU-related transport issues, but also partly on integrated product policy. He has been a project manager on several national projects on carsharing, electric vehicles and transport behaviour change, and has also been national manager on several EU-projects. Jeppe has also worked on green consumer issues since 1996. He is also a board member at the Danish Consumer Council. Jeppe loves to cook and brew. Organization: Green Transition Denmark

Prior to his appointment as director of Agora Verkehrswende in February of 2016, Christian Hochfeld was the head of the programme for sustainable transportation in China at the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). From 1996 to 2004, he was a research associate at the Oeko-Institut, a German environmental organisation, and served as a member of the institute’s executive management from 2004 to 2010. Hochfeld holds a diploma degree in environmental engineering from the Technical University of Berlin. He has been a member of the advisory board of the Chinese Electric Vehicle Forum (China EV100) since 2015.

Marcin Korolec has been president of the Electric Vehicles Promotion Foundation (FPPE) since September 2016. He has served as Poland's minister for climate (2014-2015), environment (2011-2013), and trade (2005-2011). In 2011 he co-led the EU's delegation at the UNFCCC Conference in Durban, and in 2013 he was president of COP19. A lawyer and long-standing government advisor, Marcin is currently on the advisory board of the Baltic Development Forum. He is an academic lecturer and the author of scientific publications about Poland's EU accession negotiation. Besides his native Polish, Marcin is also fluent in English and French. Stéphanie works as head of transport policy and communication at the VCS Verkehrs-Club der Schweiz, where she is also member of the executive board. She studied romance studies and linguistics. Stéphanie lives with her family in Berne, Switzerland, where she served in the city parliament for 11 years. She has led numerous referendum campaigns in Switzerland including for the phase-out of nuclear energy, car-free residential areas, and the expansion of public transport and bike rental systems. Marie Chéron

Marie works as Mobility Manager in France. The acceleration of the conversion to electromobility and the development of soft mobility to move away from fossil fuels are at the heart of its campaigns and studies. In this perspective, Marie is developing alliances with economic players and unions to promote the emergence of an ecological economy, guaranteeing a just transition.

Jillian Anable is Professor of Transport and Energy at the Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds. Her research addresses the potential for demand-side solutions to reduce carbon and energy from transport. Broadly, her current research direction investigates ‘the future of the car’ – bringing together socio-technical developments including electrification, new mobility services and the psychology of car owning and driving to explore the concept of ‘car usership’. She has led large interdisciplinary research teams and projects mainly funded by UK Research & Innovation (UKRI), the UK Energy Technologies Institute, the UK Department for Transport, Scottish Government and the European Union. She currently leads the Transport and Mobility Theme in the UKRI’s Centre for Research on Energy Demand Solutions as well as the Energy for Mobility Theme of the UK Energy Research Centre. She has sat on a number of advisory boards and strategy panels for UK Government Departments, the Climate Change Committee, US Dept. of Energy, HoL Science and Tech Committee, RCUK and NGOs.

Frances Sprei

Frances Sprei is an Associate Professor in sustainable mobility at Chalmers University of Technology. Her research assess different personal mobility options, such as alternative fueled vehicles and electric vehicles as well as innovative mobility forms such as car sharing and ride sharing. Her research is interdisciplinary and includes co-creating knowledge with various stakeholders. She is also passionate about spreading research knowledge through teaching and public outreach.
