Car CO2 limits now law
The EU's first legislation to limit carbon dioxide emissions from new cars has entered into law.
As a regulation (as opposed to a directive) it is immediately binding in all member states. Four other laws whose legislative passage have been covered in Bulletin also come into force later this month, among them the renewable energy, fuel quality and emissions trading directives.
