  • Survey suggests motorists are willing to compromise

Most Europeans are prepared to compromise on the price and features of their car if doing so will reduce harmful emissions. That is the finding of a new Eurobarometer survey conducted in all 27 EU member states.

[mailchimp_signup][/mailchimp_signup]It showed that two-thirds of EU car users said they would probably accept a lower speed if it reduced emissions. Among the survey’s other findings, 53% of motorists agreed with replacing existing motoring charges with schemes based on the use they made of their vehicle, while 71% said they would consider using public transport more often if they could buy a single ticket covering all public transport modes.
