Air efficiencies
An attempt to save 1.6 million tonnes of CO2 a year from aircraft has been launched by three bodies responsible for air traffic control and airlines.
Canso, Eurocontrol and Iata have signed a plan to improve the efficiency of aircraft movements at Europe’s airports. They say it will ave almost half a million tonnes of fuel, allowing the airlines to make savings of €390 million a year.
