Car makers failing on efficiency data

Car makers are failing to give information on environmental performance, according to a study of car companies in France, Germany and Italy.

The German NGO Germanwatch says car makers are providing insufficient data on indicators such as fuel consumption at a time when shares are rising and falling based on the soaring price of oil. The NGO says reporting on fuel consumption is a requirement that no-one is enforcing.
